Samphire
Samphire is perhaps the best known of the sea vegetables. Samphire RiaFresh® is crunchy, tasty, not fibrous or bitter. Plant of great versatility, can be consumed raw or prepared.
Great combination of salinity, citrus and crispness. Its color does not react to heat, which makes it perfect for hot dishes, such as risotto. Other suggested applications are: simple or mixed salads, ceviches, pokes, detox-type juices, fish and seafood in general and some meats such as kid and lamb.
Properties
Samphire RiaFresh® is rich in protein, fiber, vitamin B6 and vitamin E, manganese and chromium, it is a source of zinc and contains β‑carotene, lutein, phenols, flavonoids and tannins.
In 100 g of Samphire RiaFresh® there is naturally 2 g of common salt and 0.75 g of sodium.
Availability and conservation
Samphire RiaFresh® is available all year round, cut and fresh. It can be stored between 3 and 7 °C for up to 15 days.

Sea Fingers
Disphyma crassifolium
Sea Fingers have a prostrate shape, with leaves located on the stem in opposite disposition or in groups of two or three, characteristically in the form of slightly rounded triangular pyramids. The flowers are purple or pink.
Sea Fingers feature a crunchy texture, followed by an explosion
watery, slightly bitter in the mouth and some residual astringency.
