Buck´s Horn Plantain

Plantago coronopus Plant extremely variable in habit, characteristics and ecology. The plants with maritime influence are robust, and of succulent leaves arranged in the form of basal rosette. Narrow, strappy leaves have some antler-like forking, referenced in one of its common names. Buck’s Horn Plantain Riafresh® is easy to use in salad mixes has a slightly salty and nutty flavour. Glacial Lettuce*

Mesembryanhtemum crystallinum Herbaceous plant that stands out for its very promising crystalline capsules. The leaves of glacial lettuce from 4 cm up to 10 cm are thick and with wavy edges. Visually appealing, the mouth is very fleshy and velvety. Glacial Lettuce RiaFresh® has an intense flavor, releasing a large amount of water with a marine brake. It is preferred to use on cold plates or as a basis for various compositions. Natural oysters on Glacier Lettuce RiaFresh® are a delight. The leaves of the Golden Samphire Riafresh® have a surprising intensity in the palate with an inviting flavor, that reminds to the fennel, and great aromatic depth. Saltwort

Sarcocornia fruticosa Saltwort is a small, highly branched shrub. It has straight branches with small scale shaped leaves that form rings throughout the plant. Its characteristic colour is sea-green and dim. Saltwort RiaFresh® fleshy tips can be eaten fresh, in salads or soups, or boiled. Its slightly bitter flavour makes it a great ingredient to prepare sauces for meat or fish dishes. It is surprising when used with eggs or milanesa. Properties Saltwort RiaFresh® is rich in proteins, dietary fibers, vitamin B6, potassium, magnesium and chromium. It is a source of calcium, iron and manganese and contains ß-carotene, lutein, phenols, flavonoids and tannins. It is rich in magnesium; it has almost as much magnesium as nuts. Samphire Salt

Salicornia ramosissima Samphire is a lightly salted, crunchy, juicy and tasty marine vegetable. Samphire RiaFresh® comes from selected individuals from the Ria Formosa Natural Park, Algarve, and is grown in a controlled environment. Samphire vegetable salt that collects the essence of coastal zones is obtained by drying methods from Salicornia RiaFresh®. Intensely tasty and aromatic, it is a spice for multiple uses. When powder has an elegant green color. Samphire Vegetable Salt RiaFresh® has no additives, preservatives or colorings, it is purely samphire. It has less than 50% salt content equivalent to common kitchen salt. It has high content in fiber, protein and vitamin C. Salicornia ramosissima Samphire is perhaps the best known of the sea vegetables. Samphire RiaFresh® is crunchy, tasty, not fibrous or bitter. Plant of great versatility, can be consumed raw or prepared. Great combination of salinity, citrus and crispness. Its color does not react to heat, which makes it perfect for hot dishes, such as risotto. Other suggested applications are: simple or mixed salads, ceviches, pokes, detox-type juices, fish and seafood in general and some meats such as kid and lamb. Properties Samphire RiaFresh® is rich in proteins, dietary fibers, vitamin B6 and vitamin E, manganese and chromium. It contains ß-carotene, lutein, phenols, flavonoids and tannins. It is a source of zinc, which contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. In 100 g of Samphire RiaFresh® there is naturally 2 g of common salt and 0.75 g of sodium.
