Samphire is perhaps the best known of the sea vegetables. Samphire RiaFreshยฎ is crunchy, tasty, not fibrous or bitter. Plant of great versatility, can be consumed raw or prepared.
Great combination of salinity, citrus and crispness. Its color does not react to heat, which makes it perfect for hot dishes, such as risotto. Other suggested applications are: simple or mixed salads, ceviches, pokes, detox-type juices, fish and seafood in general and some meats such as kid and lamb.
Properties
Samphire RiaFreshยฎ is rich in proteins, dietary fibers, vitamin B6 and vitamin E, manganese and chromium. It contains ร-carotene, lutein, phenols, flavonoids and tannins. It is a source of zinc, which contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
In 100 g of Samphire RiaFreshยฎ there is naturally 2 g of common salt and 0.75 g of sodium.
Availability and conservation
Samphire RiaFreshยฎ is available all year round, cut and fresh. It can be stored between 3 and 7 ยฐC for up to 15 days.
